Funeral services for Hazel Marie Peters, an 89-year-old resident of the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2002 at the Liberty Chapel Christian Church, south of Trenton. Rev. Stan Ebersold will officiated. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Trenton.

Funeral services for Hazel Marie Peters, an 89-year-old resident of the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2002 at the Liberty Chapel Christian Church, south of Trenton. Rev. Stan Ebersold will officiated. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Trenton.

There will be a scheduled family visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening (Thursday, April 11, 2002) at the Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton.

The family will be staying at the home of Mrs. Peters? son, Charles Peters at 1210 Harris Ave. in Trenton.

Mrs. Peters passed away at 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at the nursing home, where she had resided since Dec. 12, 2001.

Mrs. Peters was born on May 20, 1912 in Wheeling, the daughter of Ray Orin and Pearl Hoge Ogan. She attended Sullivan County schools and graduated from Humphreys High School in 1933. On Aug. 20, 1933 she was married to Veldon Peters in Galt. He preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1976. Mr. and Mrs. Peters lived in the Humphreys area until 1944, when they moved to the Trenton community. Mrs. Peters was employed at Trenton Foods for 22 years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of the Liberty Chapel Christian Church.

Mrs. Peters is survivied by three sons, Charles Peters and his wife, Martha, and Ron Peters and his wife, Linda, both of Trenton and Larry Peters and his wife, Rachel, of Independence;three sisters, Luella Hill of Galt, Eva Watson of Trenton and Alta Peters of Applegate, CA; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Liberty Chapel Christian Church or the Wright Memorial Hospice.
