Amy Lynn Sullins recently signed a letter of intent to play softball at North Central Missouri College. Sullins, a Stanberry High School senior, has played catcher and outfielder for the Lady Tigers.

Amy Lynn Sullins recently signed a letter of intent to play softball at North Central Missouri College. Sullins, a Stanberry High School senior, has played catcher and outfielder for the Lady Tigers.

Sullins, a four-year letterwinner, led the softball team in batting average during her sophomore and senior seasons. She led the team in hits as a sophomore, junior and seniors. As a sophomore she led the team in doubles. Sullins also led the team in slugging percentage and on base percentage her senior and sophomore season. She has received all-district honors the past two years and was also named to the all-conference softball team the past three years.

As a basketball player, Sullins was twice selected to the KAAN all-star team. She is a three-year letterwinner and was named to the all-conference basketball first team in 2001 and the second team in 2000. She was also a 2000 and 2001 all-district basketball team choice and was a second team all-state honoree last year. Sullins finished her basketball career with 1,183 points, 245 assists, 290 steals and 230 rebounds. She also shot 70 percent from the free throw line. NCMC has announced she also plans to sign a basketball letter-of-intent at NCMC next month.

Sullins also lettered in track twice and was a football cheerleader. Other school-related activities include membership in FFA, FCCLA, Stepper Squad and Spirit Club; service as class treasurer and class secretary; participation at Girls State; representing the local FFA at the national convention; selection as a nominee for the Wendy?s American Athlete award; and selection to Who?s Who Among American High School students. She has also participated in several volunteer activities in the community, including coaching a fifth grade basketball team and participation in CYO, where she has been both president and vice president.
