The North Central Missouri College women?s basketball team finished second for the second straight year in the Region 16 Tournament. The Lady Pirates lost to Penn Valley in the finals on Friday night, 59-42.

The North Central Missouri College women?s basketball team finished second for the second straight year in the Region 16 Tournament. The Lady Pirates lost to Penn Valley in the finals on Friday night, 59-42.
The Lady Pirates went into halftime trailing by only one point. Penn Valley was able to come out and build a lead early in the second half and that proved to be the difference.
?I think the first five minutes of the second half was the difference in the game,? Head Coach Max Mothersbaugh said. ?Our girls came out and battled and did everything they could do to win that game.?
Sophomores Lori Bancroft and Debi DiBella led the Lady Pirates. Bancroft finished with 12 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and two steals while DiBella added with 12 points and six rebounds. The Lady Pirates end their season an 18-13 record.
