Myrtle M. McCallum, an 89-year-old resident of the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, passed away at 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002 at the nursing home, where she had resided since Nov. 20, 1996.

Myrtle M. McCallum, an 89-year-old resident of the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton, passed away at 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002 at the nursing home, where she had resided since Nov. 20, 1996.

The body was cremated. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2002 at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Trenton. Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. McCallum was born on Oct. 5, 1912 at Mercer County, near Half Rock, the daughter of Sherman and Agnes Yates Cook. She was married to Charles D. ?Babe? McCallum on May 31, 1932 at Trenton. They lived all their married lives in Trenton. She worked for Montgomery Ward and McCullough Insurance and later worked for Irene Fair Tax Services.

Mrs. McCallum was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Joseph L. Norton VFW Post #919 Ladies Auxiliary and served severasl years as secretary and treasurer for Maple Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. McCallum is survived by one sister, Viola Holland of St. Joseph; and one brother, Robert Cook of Cameron.

Mr. McCallum was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Charles D. McCallum Jr. and several brothers and sisters, including Iris Shelton.
