Candidates for county, state and national offices to be chosen during the August Primary and November General elections can begin filing for those offices on Tuesday.
Grundy County voters will elect persons to fill the offices of Associate Circuit Court Judge, Circuit Court Clerk and Ex-Officio Recorder, County Clerk, Prosecuting Attorney and Presiding County Commissioner. The county clerk?s office will open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday for candidates to file and names will be placed on the county ballot in the order they are filed.
Candidates can also file for state representative, state senator, U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative and state auditor. Those filings are done in Jefferson City.
The filing deadline for both the local and statewide offices is March 26.
