Bob Coffman, a 65-year-old Spickard native, passed away at his home in Spickard early this morning (Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002) after an extened illness with cancer.

Bob Coffman, a 65-year-old Spickard native, passed away at his home in Spickard early this morning (Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002) after an extened illness with cancer.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, 2002 at the Willis Chapel Cemetery, north of Brimson.

The family will be staying at the home of his daughter, Gloria Coffman, at 1312 Lake Manor Drive in Trenton.

A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002 at the Resthaven Mortuary in Trenton.

Mr. Coffman was born on Aug. 14, 1936 at Spickard, the son of Albert and Ethel Vaughn Coffman. He was married to Brenda Kay Beverlin on Jan. 5, 1959 at Trenton. A lifelong resident of Spickard, Mr. Coffman was employed as a truck driver working for McCarty Truck Lines, Harkins Livestock and, for the past several years, he was self-employed hauling livestock and grain before retiring.

Mr. Coffman is survived by his wife, Brenda Coffman of the home in Spickard; one son, Larry Coffman, also of the home; two daughters, Glenda Lovell and Gloria Coffman, both of Trenton; three brothers, Richard Coffman of Independence, Benny Coffman of Trenton and Lyle ?Buck? Coffman of Princeton; four sisters, Lois James of Chillicothe, Jenny Willard of Independence, Martha Stubbs of Edinburg and Beverly McCarty of Trenton; and two grandchildren, Carey and Karla Lovell of Trenton.

Mr. Coffman was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jack Coffman; and two infant sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Soceity, these may be left the Resthaven Mortuary.
