Kenneth F. Soper, an 88-year-old former resident of Dunlap, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2002 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton. The body was donated to medical science. No services are planned.

Kenneth F. Soper, an 88-year-old former resident of Dunlap, passed away Friday, Feb. 1, 2002 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton. The body was donated to medical science. No services are planned.
Mr. Soper was born on Nov. 21, 1913 at Hardy, NE, the son of Fredrick O and Lydia E. Davidson Soper. He attended Hardy and Superior schools and graduated from Superior High School. He attended Peru College in Peru, NE. On Aug. 2, 1938 he was married at Boulder, CO to Irene G. Ward. He moved to Grundy County in 1949. He was a member of the World Wide Church of God. He was employed at W.R. Grace Company in Trenton and later at Banquet Foods, Inc. in Milan.
Mr. Soper is survived by his wife, Irene of the Sunnyview Nursing Home in Trenton; two daughters, Mrs. Marlene Soper of Galt and Linda Soper of Wilmington, NC; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Soper was prececded in death by his parents; one sister, Marjorie Sloan; one daughter, Patricia Rae Soper; and one grandson, Mark Tolle.
