Rissler Elementary School will host Dr. Bobby DePoyster on Thursday, Feb. 7.
Dr. DePoyster will present ?Magic with a Message,? an inspiration program that blends wit, wisdom, humor and magic. He will speak with the kindergarten and first grade students at 1 p.m. and to second, third and fourth grade students at 1:50 p.m. The presentation is being sponsored by the Trenton R-9 Character Education Committee.
Dr. DePoyster is a retired school administrator and grew up in rural, northern Mississippi as one of six children who spent their early childhood attending a three-teacher school. He assumed early responsibilities on a small family farm and country store. Dr. DePoyster draws on those backgrounds for much of his philosophical wisdom and serious convictions in the American Dream.
