Donald E. Shepard, 67, died at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at his residence in Ardmore, Ok. He was a native of Trenton.

Donald E. Shepard, 67, died at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 1999, at his residence in Ardmore, Ok. He was a native of Trenton.

Graveside rites will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, at the Edinburg IOOF Cemetery, under the direction of Resthaven Mortuary of Trenton. Rev. Jerry Henderson will officiate.

Military graveside rites will also be conducted.

Mr. Shepard was born on May 25, 1932 in Trenton, the son of Burnice Owen and Dessie Miller Shepard. He was married to Mildred M. Berry on Nov. 20, 1953 in Trenton. They lived in Kansas City most of their married life. Mrs. Shepard died on July 4, 1988.

While living in Kansas City, Mr. Shepard drove a delivery truck for Signal Delivery. He retired and moved to Ardmore in 1989. Mr. Shepard served in the United States Army from 1949 to 1952.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Plott of Lone Grove, Ok., and Carlia Armstrong of Ardmore; two sisters, Emma Hanna of Cimmaron, Ks., and Mary Culver of Wichita, Ks.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Shepard was also preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ray Edwin Shepard.
