Princeton High School will celebrate its 50th Homecoming next Thursday and Friday, Oct. 14 and 15, with a coronation, bonfire, parade and football game.
Princeton High School will celebrate its 50th Homecoming next Thursday and Friday, Oct. 14 and 15, with a coronation, bonfire, parade and football game.
Activities will begin at 7 p.m., Thursday, when the king and queen will be crowned in the elementary school gym. Queen candidates include seniors Lucretia Brown, Sherri Dinsmore and Crystal Robinson, while king candidates are seniors Wayne Gauldin, Tom Shelton and Stephen Stockman. Attendants are April Clapham and Brent Donelson, juniors; Jamie Peer and Jacob Wilson, sophomores; and Jennifer Watkins and Cody Holt, freshmen. Following the coronation, a bonfire will be held on the football field.
Activities continue at 2:30 p.m., Friday, a parade will be held in the downtown area, followed by PHS vs. Milan football game. Special honorees during the celebration will be Orville Trainer and Lenore Griffey Murphy, the first-ever PHS Homecoming King and Queen. The 1999 Homecoming events are being sponsored by the PHS Chapter of the National Honor Society.
