Officers were elected and plans made for future activities when the North Central Missouri College Athletic Booster Club met Tuesday night in the Ketcham Community Center.
Dr. Dennis Henson is the group’s president. Other officers include Peter Trombley, vice president, and Dr. Alissa Henson is secretary/treasurer. All are from Trenton.
A statement was developed by group, stating that the club’s mission is support of the student athletes of NCMC via a program of camaraderie, community and public awareness and enhancing the morale of both the campus and surrounding communities of north central Missouri. By-laws for the group will be formulated and approved at a future meeting.
Dues were set at $25 and persons interested in becoming a member can contact any officer or NCMC Athletic Director Max Mothersbaugh. Money from dues will be used to fund activities the club is planning throughout the year, including a player introduction session with Booster Club members on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served and club members will get a chance to meet with all NCMC student athletes. Additional information will be announced at a later time.
Sweatshirts and t-shirts to identify Booster Club members will also be available for purchase. Orders will be taken at the next meeting on Oct. 19 as well as at the the player session on Oct. 26.
The club will also be serving food and drinks to players after home games during the basketball season. More information about this activity will also be announced at a later time.
The next meeting of the club will be at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 19 at the KCC.
