Mrs. Mildred Virginia (Robinson) Johnson, 77, a resident of Jameson, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty.

Mrs. Mildred Virginia (Robinson) Johnson, 77, a resident of Jameson, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 1999, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Jameson Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Pilot Grove Number One Cemetery, near Jamesport.
Friends may call at the Bram Funeral Home in Gallatin after 9 a.m. Friday. The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Mrs. Johnson was born on April 26, 1922 in Grundy County, near Trenton. She was raised in that vicinity and graduated from Trenton High School. She was married to James W. Johnson on March 8, 1948 in Gallatin. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson farmed south of Jameson and also managed a sod business for almost 40 years. Mr. Johnson died in Dec. 5, 1989.
Mrs. Johnson, who was a homemaker, had lived near Jameson for over 50 years. She was a member of the Jameson Baptist Church and the Women’s Missionary Union of the church. She was also active in the Bible School programs at the church.
Survivors include four daughters, Willa McNeely, and husband, Gary, of Jameson, Joanne Hylton of Liberty, Linda Hazlett, and husband, Jerry, of Holt, and Mary Gray, and husband, Dennis, of Overland Park, Ks.; one sister, Rosemary Bear of Jamesport; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Johnson was also preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Edith Anna (Stevenson) Robinson, and two brothers, William Morris, and Elmo H. Robinson.
