Mrs. Lucy Jane Burrell, 77, a resident of Trenton, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.

Mrs. Lucy Jane Burrell, 77, a resident of Trenton, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at the Bram Funeral Home in Gallatin. Burial will be in the Mitchell Cemetery at Melbourne.

A family visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Burrell was born on March 31, 1922 in Gilman City, the daughter of Ell and Mary Spears Bennett. She attended the Old Scotland School near Jameson, and was married to Seth R. Burrell on Sept. 10, 1939 in Jamesport. He died on Feb. 28, 1993.

Mrs. Burrell, who was a homemaker, was a long-time resident of Jamesport. She lived in Trenton for five years before she moved to Beatty, Nv. She returned to Trenton one year ago.

Mrs. Burrell was a member of the Trenton Church of Christ.

Survivors include one son, Larry Burrell of Clarksdale; two daughters, Mary Jane Ball of Beatty, and Linda Hamilton of Des Moines, Ia.; one stepson, John Burrell of Long Beach, Ca.; one stepdaughter, Minnie McKenzie of Wilson, Ok.; one brother, Charles Bennett of Quincy, Il.; one sister, Mary Cook of St. Joseph; 24 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Burrell was preceded in death by one brother, Garland Bennett; and one sister, Alta Sloan.

Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Trenton Church of Christ.
