Jack D. Sturgeon, 66, died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at his home in Clayton, Ca. He was an area farmer and a former resident of Trenton and Chillicothe.

Jack D. Sturgeon, 66, died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at his home in Clayton, Ca. He was an area farmer and a former resident of Trenton and Chillicothe.

Mr. Sturgeon was born on April 4, 1933 in Pacific Junction, Ia., the son of Ralph and Irene Sturgeon. He was married to Jane Rogers in 1961 in Orinda, Ca.
Mr. Sturgeon lived most of his life in California. He taught in the Walnut Creek School System from 1955 through 1977. He moved to Trenton in 1978, and later moved to Chillicothe. Mr. Sturgeon returned to California in 1985, where he had since resided.
Survivors include his wife, Jane of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Stacy Sturgeon of Logan, Ut.; his mother, Irene Butcher, and one brother, Lindell Sturgeon, both of Trenton; and one sister, Jean Dunning of Walnut Creek.
Mr. Sturgeon was preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Bill Sturgeon.
