Charles Albert Sprague, 89, of Marshall, formerly of Slater, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, at the Sweet Springs Villa in Sweet Springs. He was the brother of Mabel Persell of Trenton.

Charles Albert Sprague, 89, of Marshall, formerly of Slater, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, at the Sweet Springs Villa in Sweet Springs. He was the brother of Mabel Persell of Trenton.

Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m. today, Sept. 7, at the Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. William W. Harlow officiated. Burial was in the Sunset Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of the Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home of Marshall.

Mr. Sprague was born on Feb. 24, 1910 in Slater, the son of Charles Adam and Nora Cassady Sprague. He was married to Leona Oberdahloff on Dec. 24, 1936. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Sprague, a lifelong resident of Saline County, was a retired farmer.

Survivors include one brother, Frank Sprague of Brookfield; one sister, Mabel Persell of Trenton; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Sprague was preceded in death by four sisters, and three brothers.
