No drugs were found by law enforcement officials conducting a search in Trenton this morning.
According to a news release from Trenton Police Chief Bob Lewis, members of the Trenton Police Department, the Grundy County Sheriff’s office and the North Missouri Drug Task Force conducted the search, which involved four rental storage buildings. According to Lewis, a drug-sniffing dog was brought in and alerted authorities at one unit. However, when the unit was checked with the owner’s permission, nothing was found.
Lewis said it is believed that the dog was alerted due to prior renters of the facility.
