The Humphreys Community Fair will be held this Friday and Saturday in the city park.
Activities begin at 5 p.m., Friday, with a barbecue pork dinner. Entertainment, featuring the musical group “Fall Creek,” will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday’s events include children’s games in the park at 9:30 a.m., with an consignment sale at 10 a.m. and a noon luncheon in the community building. The children’s parade for youth 12-and-under is at 5:45 p.m., with the adult parade to follow at 6 p.m.
Prizes will be awarded in both events, including children in costume, children with pets and children with conveyance in the children’s parade. The adult parade will give first-, second- and third-place prizes in the following categories: tractors – antiques and classic, most members of a family in one conveyance, oldest person in the parade, best restored automobile, most unusual entry, best float, best horse-drawn vehicle and the best horse and rider.
Saturday night’s entertainment is at 7:30 p.m., featuring the music of Todd Schweizer and Rita Schreffler Hanes.
Those attending fair entertainment activities, including the parade, are asked to bring their own seating.
