Princeton resident and former Shelter Insurance Agent Kent Bohr has pleaded guilty to seven charge of Class C felony stealing and one count of Class C felony forgery.

Bohr entered the plea July 26 in Division I of the Mercer County Circuit Court. The stealing charges arose from incidents in which Bohr was alleged to have accepted payments from Luper Construction for insurance and then kept the premium money for his own use. The incidents occurred between Sept. 18, 1995 and Jan. 28, 1999. The forgery charge came from a March 10, 1998 incident in which Bohr allegedly wrote to the Department of Insruance, requesting a complaint to the deparmtne be withdrawn, with the note purportedly being written by Junior Luper.

No plea agreement has been made as to the final disposition of the eight counts, according to Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney Jay Hemmenway, who said that Bohr facces up to 56 years in prision and $40,000 in fines. A pre-sentence investigation has been ordered and sentencing was set for Oct. 13.
