Mrs. Virginia Lenora Cronin, a resident of Trenton, died July 8, 1999 in Columbia. She was 74 years old.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, July 12, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Des Moines, Ia. Father Burrows of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church of Des Moines officiated. Burial was in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Cronin was born on March 14, 1925 in Chicago, Il., the daughter of Harry and Marie Schumacher Wheeler. She was married to Kenneth Cronin on March 14, 1946 in Des Moines.

Mrs. Cronin lived most of her life in Des Moines before moving to Trenton. She was a retired employee of the Green Hills Community Action Agency. Mrs. Cronin was a member of St Mark’s Episcopal Church and the American Legion Auxiliary of Chillicothe.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of the home; one son, Dennis Cronin of Columbia; one daughter, Sharon Roske of Altoona, Ia.; one brother, Gilbert Wheeler of West Des Moines, Ia.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cronin was preceded in death by her parents.
