William A. Harris, 84, died Thursday, July 8, 1999, at his home at 2408 SE 7th Terrace, Blue Springs, Mo. 64014. He was the brother-in-law of Deloris Sawyer of Trenton, and Dale Sawyer of Laredo.

William A. Harris, 84, died Thursday, July 8, 1999, at his home at 2408 SE 7th Terrace, Blue Springs, Mo. 64014. He was the brother-in-law of Deloris Sawyer of Trenton, and Dale Sawyer of Laredo.
The body will lie in state from 5 to 7 o’clock this evening, July 9, at the Webb-Freer Funeral Home in Blue Springs. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at the funeral home, followed by services at 3 p.m. and burial in the Blue Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Harris was born on May 30, 1915 in Albany, and was a graduate of Princeton High School. He moved to the Kansas City area in 1944 and worked as a metal finisher at the R.L. Faubion Steel Company until his retirement.
Mr. Harris was a member of the Blue Springs Baptist Temple.
Mr. Harris is also survived by his wife, Helen (Sawyer) Harris of the home; two sons, Billy J. Harris of Blue Springs, and Larry D. Harris of Independence; a brother, Gilbert E. Harris of Leavenworth, Ks.; five granddaughters, Vicky J. Storey and Sherri L. Harris, both of Independence, Katherine L. Desnoyer of St. Louis, Theresa L. Gaston of Ellisville, and Shelley R. Bernadelli of Lindale, Tx.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
