Elsie Ellen Litton, 98, a resident of Jamesport, died at 7:52 p.m. Friday, June 18, 1999, at the Daviess County Health Center in Gallatin.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, at the Lock Springs Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe until 9 o’clock tonight, June 21, and from 8 a.m. until service time on Tuesday. There is no family visitation scheduled.
Ms. Litton was born on Oct. 29, 1900 in Lock Springs, the daughter of John S. and Rosa E. Waters Litton. She graduated from Lock Springs High School, and worked as a property manager, beautician and florist.
Survivors include a son, Litton Cavender of Jamesport, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ms. Litton was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Harold, Raymond, Lawrence, and Charley Litton; three sisters, Bessie Rupe, Nannie Gibson, and Faye Moss; and two half sisters, Hester Stokesberry, and Beth Goodman.
