The cause of a fire that resulted in the total loss of a car on Monday, July 16 is listed as undetermined.
According to information provided by Trenton Fire Chief Brandon Gibler, the car, owned by David Thrun, was fully involved when firefighters arrived at the scene at 202 E. 24th St. at around 2:40 p.m. Firefighters were on the scene for about 30 minutes and were assisted by the Trenton Police Department and Grundy County EMS. The only other damage from the incident was to a lawn mower located near the vehicle which sustained damage from the intense heat.
