Council Will Hear Information On Creation Of A Social District

The creation of a social district in the downtown area is among the items listed under “new business” on the agenda for Monday night’s meeting of the Trenton City Council.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m., with a public hearing to receive comment on the proposed 2021 tax levy. Other items on the announced agenda include an ordinance fixing that levy, an ordinance approving an agreement with Mid-West Injection for removal, transportation and disposal of lime sludge, an ordinance approving a contract with Asplundh Tree Experts, LLC for trimming of trees around electric lines and a resolution supporting an application by MDL Development Company for Missouri Housing Development Commission funding for senior housing at Trenton Senior Villas. Under new business, the council will discuss the proposed social district, an agreement on the possible change of ownership of the portable restrooms and review/approval of the preliminary engineering report for the water treatment plant.
