The Trenton High School wrestling and boys basketball teams gathered on Thursday night to honor the past season and the accomplishments that were achieved.

Trenton finished the season with a 12-12 dual record while capturing second place at the GRC Tournament, third at the Plattsburg Tournament and fourth at the Lexington Dual Tournament.
The Bulldogs sent three wrestlers to state this season – senior Jadan Whitney and juniors Mark Trump and Noah Lewis.
Whitney, who collected his second-straight third-place medal at the state tournament, received academic all-state honors for the second year in a row as well. He was also awarded certificates for leading the team in pins (30), takedowns (115) and best overall record (47-5).
Trump earned a certificate for leading the team in escapes (37) while Lewis and freshman Kaden Owen each got a certificate for leading the team in nearfalls with (27). Owen was also honored for leading the team in reversals (17).
Two most improved awards were presented at the banquet. Freshman Caleb Johnson was named the most improved wrestler over the course of the season while sophomore Brice Gibler was named the most improved wrester from last year to this year.
Other wrestlers honored at the banquet included seniors Teresa Yoder and Jarvis Collis; juniors Dakota Wendt, Ann Airey and Libby Fewins; sophomore Payden McCullough; and freshmen Tyler Siemer and Thomas Lovell. Managers Jaycie Griffin and Emma Rorebeck were also recognized.
