Sponsorships Available For Flag Display At Missouri Day Festival

Sep 17, 2018 | Headline News

The Trenton Rotary Club will continue to display flags during the Missouri Day Festival Parade weekend, Oct. 19-21.
The flags – both American and State of Missouri – will be mounted on poles along Main, Ninth and 17th streets as well as a portion of Oklahoma Avenue near the festival entrance. The Missouri Day parade route is the main emphasis of the flag display. The two types of flags will be alternated on the poles and displayed from the Friday morning before the parade (Oct. 19) until the Sunday evening after the parade (Oct. 21).
Parade officials are encouraging individuals and businesses to be a flag sponsor. Flag sponsorship is for a three-year period at a cost of $50. The names of sponsors will be promoted through the media.
“We experienced excellent response to our initial sponsorship opportunity and our sponsorship extension program,” Parade Co-Chairman Brian Upton said. “We are encouraging patrons to honor loved ones with flags in memory or honor of veterans, families or businesses/organizations.”
Persons interested in a new sponsorship or who have any questions regarding sponsorship extensions are asked to contact Upton at Raymond James Financial Services, 660-359-2250.
Local Rotarians will be placing and removing the flags that offer a welcoming sight to all parade participants and viewers as a special tribute to both Missouri and the United States during the Missouri Day Festival weekend.
