Former Trenton Junior College men’s basketball coach Carroll Herman, 81, died on Thursday, July 19, 2018.
Coach Herman coached high school and junior college basketball for 32 years, including three years at TJC, where he amassed a record of 50-33. His overall record was 589-354. He spent the last 20 years of his career at Illinois Central College, retiring in 1999. He was inducted into the the National Junior College Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2007.
