Work is under way on the city’s two water towers on Princeton Road and Iowa Boulevard, pictured above. Representatives from Ozark Applicators, which will be doing the work, were in Trenton on Thursday and, according to City Administrator/Utilities Director Ron Urton, drained water from the Princeton Road tower to make repairs to a leak. That tower was to be refilled and put back into service today. Once that tower is working, water will be drained from the Iowa Boulevard tower, which will then be inspected and any repairs made before being painted inside and outside. Painting on the Princeton Road tower is anticipated to be done next summer, Urton said.
