Farrell Garland “Dick” Frisbie, a 76-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Wednesday evening, April 4, 2018 at his home in Trenton.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, north of Trenton.
Open visitation is under way at the Slater Funeral Home in Trenton. There is no scheduled family visitation.
Mr. Frisbie was born on Aug 1, 1941 in Princeton, the son of Carl G. and Nada M. Kincade Frisbie. He was raised by his grandparents, Lee and Lucreet Mantlo Kincade. At the age of two, he was called Dick after his mother died. He graduated from Spickard High School in 1960.
Before retiring, he was employed by Trenton Foods for almost 40 years. He was also a volunteer fireman with the Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District.
He enjoyed car racing, tractor pulling, camping, fishing and farming and enjoyed driving the tractor on the farm.
He was married on Oct. 23, 1963 in Trenton to Helen J. Maloney, who survives of the home∂.
He is also survived by one son, Craig Frisbie and his wife, Laurie of Trenton; two grandsons, Logan Trickel and Jacob Trickel; one granddaughter, Shaina Frisbie; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws, Charles and Doris Maloney of Nixa, James and Rosslyn Maloney of Trenton, Allene Maloney of Trenton and Barbara Hague of Columbia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; one son, Curtis Frisbie; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Memorials are suggested to the Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District and may be left at or mailed to the Slater Funeral Home.
