Lions Club Holds Meeting

The Trenton Lions Club met on Tuesday in the First Christian Church fellowship hall with 11 members and four guests present.
Following the meal, President Seth Cox led the pledge to the U.S. flag, followed by prayer by Rev. Steve Martin. George Moore served as “tailtwister.”
Members of Joseph L. Norton VFW Post No. 919 presented the program on flag folding and flag etiquette. Tony Ralston, commander, and Sam Smith, officer of the day, demonstrated the proper folding of the American flag while Scott Foreman, chaplain, explained the symbolism of each of the 13 folds executed during the folding of the flag.
George Moore announced that Trenton Lions Club will sponsor Werthen Gass to Missouri Girls State and Weston Otto will be the delegate to Missouri Boys State. Trenton Lions Club is still collecting eyeglasses. Discussion will be held during the business meeting in March concerning improved visibility of eye glass collection locations.
The next meeting of Trenton Lions Club will be a business/administrative meeting at noon on Tuesday, March 6.
