Mrs. Barbara L. Bonnett, an 82-year-old Trenton resident, died Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 1, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Gilman City, with Pastor Gavin Roberts officiating.
Burial will be in Campbell Cemetery north of Milan.
There is no scheduled family visitation at the Slater Funeral Home of Trenton, which is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bonnett was born March 26, 1935 in Pollock, the daughter of John Nicholas and Merle Marie Rogers Winters. She attended Pollock School.
On Dec. 26, 1952 she was married to Leeroy Bonnett at Harrisonville, AR. He preceded her in death on Sept. 23, 2002.
She is survived by four daughters, Carolyn Fewins of Jamesport, Brenda Muselman and Max Coon of Mercer, Cheryl Dorris, and Lorey Jasinski and her husband, John, all of Trenton; three sons, Monty Bonnett and wife, Sarah of Trenton, Marty Bonnett and his wife, Parthelia of Blue Springs, and Roger Bonnett and his wife, Joy of Spickard; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorthy Jane Pruitt of Council Bluffs, IA; and one brother, Paul Winters, of the state of Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bill Winters and J. D. Winters; and two sisters, Helen Nelson and Roetta Search
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and may be left at the funeral home.
