Wright Memorial Physicians Group office assistant Vickie Shoots, center, has been named the hospital’s Employee of the Quarter for third quarter 2017. CEO Gary Jordan, right, and Dr. Jennifer Bowe, left, presented the award at a ceremony held in her honor on Oct. 24. The Employee of the Quarter Award recognizes an employee who provides exemplary service, going beyond the call of duty to support fellow employees or to comfort or assist patients and their families. In her nomination form, Mrs. Shoots’ co-workers said, “Vickie is the most positive person in the office, and that positive outlook is contagious. She goes above and beyond to assist coworkers, even though she is very busy herself and assumes a variety of responsibilities. She goes out of her way to assist patients by helping them with paperwork necessary to qualify for medical and pharmaceutical relief programs. She is very dedicated to the patients.” In recognition of the award, Ms. Shoots received an Employee of the Quarter certificate, the parking space of her choice for three months, three eStore vouchers, a gift certificate to the hospital gift shop, her name posted on the Employee of the Quarter wall plaque and acknowledgement in the local media and hospital employee intranet.
