Woman Charged With Stealing From Casey’s

Two persons have been arrested recently, including one who is acccused of stealing from Casey’s General Store and one who violated the terms of his probation.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Missy L. Obey, 49, of Lucerne is charged with stealing, a class D felony. She is accused of appropriating $4,287.89 in U.S. currency, which was property owned by Casey’s General Store. The theft allegedly occurred between Sept. 23, 2016 and Feb. 17, 2017. Ms. Obey is being held on $5,000 cash-only bond and was scheudled to appear in court today.
Also arrested was 44-year-old William N. Griffin of Trenton, who is accused of violating the terms of his probation on original charges of driving while intoxicated and third degree assault. He has posted cash bonds totaling $2,000 and is scheduled to appear in court April 25.
