Wright Memorial Hospital will be offering free walk-in blood pressure checks and AFIB screenings later this month.
The offerings will take place three times during the month, including Monday, Feb. 13, Wednesday, Feb. 15 and Wednesday, Feb. 22. The Feb. 13 and 22 screenings will be in the speciality clinic from 8:30 to 11 a.m. while the Feb. 15 screening will be from 8 to 10 a.m. in the physicians’ group office. Testing should take no more than a couple of minutes and will be as easy as placing a couple of fingers on a smart device or tablet.
The program is for screening only and the person performing the test will not be able to give advice or a diagnosis. If screening does not meet the pre-defined parameters, persons will be encouraged to contact their primary care provider for follow-up consultation.
