Because of the threat of rain over the weekend, the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce has announced a change in location for the golf ball drop activities at 6 p.m.
The drop will now take place near Hole 1 of the Riverside Country Club, which is on the Ridgeway Street side of the course. This will allow for the truck from which the balls are to be dropped to remain on a hard surface.
The public is invited to attend the ball drop. Pulled pork sandwiches will be served, beginning at 3:30 p.m., at a cost of $5, with the ball drop to follow.
The event is a fundraiser for the chamber and the Riverside Country Club. Tickets can be purchased at the chamber office or at the RCC prior to the drop. The cost is $10 per ticket. A cash prize of $2,000, provided by Barnes Baker Automotive, goes to the first-place winner. Second place is $500 cash.
