Rotary Club Has Work Day

Jul 29, 2016 | Headline News

Members of the Trenton Rotary Club worked on club assignments during Thursday’s meeting.
Each member was asked to sign up for at least one committee in the areas of club administration, membership, public relations, service projects and foundation. Chairmen were also assigned and those who were not present or who had not expressed a preference prior to the meeting were placed on a committee.
During the business meeting, Kevin Harris told members about the “Serve Trenton” project that will be taking place on Sept. 24-25. Described as a “community effort,” volunteers are being sought to complete projects that will make improvements in the community. The projects would target those who are unable to do the work themselves. A list of possible projects is also sought as well. Persons can go to the “Serve Trenton” Facebook page to register as a volunteer or to suggest a project.
It was also announced the annual fish fry will be on Saturday, Sept. 10. More information will be announced soon.
Next week’s program chairman is Allan Seidel.
