Spickard Board OKs Budget

The Spickard R-2 Board of Education met on Monday night, approving the new budget and closing out the current fiscal year.
According to information provided by Superintendent Burnie Schneiderheinze, the proposed budget for the 2016-17 school year shows a surplus of $5,241.89, with revenues anticipated at $778,513 while expenditures have been projected at $773,271.11. The increase in revenue is due to an increase in federal aid.
