Galt City Council Looking For New City Clerk

The Galt City Council will be looking for a new city clerk after the current clerk resigned at a meeting on Tuesday evening.
According to City Clerk Mary Young, she has submitted her resignation effective at the end of July. Mrs. Young said applications are being accepted for the part-time position and are due to city hall by Monday, March 7.
In other business, the council discussed a contract with KCP&L, with additional information to be presented at the March meeting. It was noted that the only persons filing for election in the April 5 election are Victor Tunnell, north ward; George Griff, south ward; and Bill Jackson, the unexpired south ward term.
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8.
