Commission Looking At Refinancing LEC Bonds

The Grundy County Commission is looking into the possibility of refinancing the bonds that were sold for the construction of the Grundy County Law Enforcement Center.
The commission met with Greg Bricker and Chase Barnes of George K. Baum and Company to discuss the possibility of refinancing the bonds, with approximately $500,000 in savings possible over 15 years. The actual savings would be around $997,262, but $439,588.46 in county money
