Chelsey Valentine of Unionville, a student at North Central Missouri College, has been named the Missouri Community College Association Student Leadership Award winner.
Miss Valentine received the honor last week during the MCCA annual convention. She maintains an excellent GPA and is active on campus while successfully balancing her responsibilities on the family farm. She serves as NCMC’s Agriculture Club president, Student Senate Secretary, is an admissions ambassador and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa. This summer, she was selected for the Barton Farm Mentorship Program, where she was able to work in a wide variety of areas, including machinery operation, crop plot preparation, livestock handling and guiding tours.
Miss Valentine is pursuing a career in agricultural business and plans to continue her education at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville after graduating from NCMC. She is the daughter of Robert and Kelly Valentine of Unionville.
