Princeton Council Considering Fee To Help Shelter

The Princeton City Council will be reviewing a proposed ordinance that would provide funding for the Green Hills Women’s Shelter through its municipal court system.
City Clerk Danette Snapp said the council, at its meeting on Monday night, heard a request from Cathie Smith about a fee that, under state statute, can be assessed on tickets issued by the city. That fee can be designated to benefit the women’s shelter.
