The event was held at the Trenton Masonic Lodge, with about 40 persons watching as Ulysses S. Grant, right, portrayed by Randal Durbin, and Robert E. Lee, portrayed by Lane Smith, led the audience through the negotiations and surrender. Above, the generals meet on April 9, 1865 at the McLean House in Appomatox Court House, VA  to discuss the terms and conditions of a Confederate surrender.
