James E. Standiford Jr., a 48-year-old resident of Trenton, died on Friday morning Aug. 29, 2014 at Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton.
The body was cremated under the direction of Slater Funeral Home at Trenton.
Mr. Standiford was born on Oct. 9, 1965 in Trenton, the son of James Edward and Julia Ann Atherton Standiford Sr.. He attended Spickard schools and graduated from Trenton High School in 1984. He was employed by the former Bond’s Wholesale in Trenton.
He was a member of Spickard Baptist Church in Spickard.
Survivors include his mother, Julia Bryan of Houston, MO; two sisters, Rhonda Stamper of Pleasant Hope and Diane Mercer of Iowa City, IA; one brother, Robert Clover and his wife Joyce of Trenton; two step-sisters, Charlene Furr and her husband, David of Houston, MO and Carla Bryan of Independence; and one step-brother, Michael Bryan of Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorials are suggested to the Saint Luke’s Hospice and may be left at the funeral home.
