Trenton Woman Hurt In Wednesday Accident

6-4 wreck 16-4 wreck 2One person was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries suffered this morning in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 65 and 28th Street.
Cheyenne Sharp, 17 of Trenton was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital by the Grundy County Ambulance Service for treatment of moderate injuries. She was a passenger in a car that was northbound on Highway 65 when it was struck by an eastbound vehicle driven by Zachary Ward, 30, Trenton. The car was driven by Jesse Bruce, 20, also of Trenton.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the Ward truck pulled into the path of the car, with the car striking the passenger’s side of the truck. The truck overturned and traveled off the northeast corner of the intersection, coming to rest on its top facing south. The car came to rest in the northbound lane of Highway 65, facing east.
Ward, Bruce and a passenger in the Ward vehicle, Christopher Hulett, 23, of Gilman City, were not reported injured. Both vehicles were demolished.
The accident was investigated by the Highway Patrol, assisted by the Trenton Police Department, the Grundy County Ambulance Service, the Trenton Fire Department and the Grundy County Fire Protection District.
