City Council Says No To Rental Property Owner Fee Increase

The Trenton City Council turned down an ordinance to increase inspection fees for rental properties, but approved an ordinance increasing building permit/inspection fees during a meeting on Monday night at city hall.
On a 1-6 vote, the council turned down the inspection fee proposal, which would have required landlords to pay an initial inspection fee of $50 during a calendar year for each property, with a $25 fee then charged
