Sharron Bankson Edwards, a 78-year-old resident of North Augusta, SC, died on Sunday, July 21, 2013.
The body was cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Riverside Church of Christ in North Augusta. Pastor Dennis Dickey will officiate. A visitation will follow the service and burial will take place later at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Trenton.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Trenton, the daughter of Howard William and Edna Williams Bankson. She retired after more than 30 years of service with Sears, where she was a division manager. She was a member of the Riverside Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales and meeting with the Sears Retiree Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Thomas Stocum of North Augusta, SC; a sister, Sandra Vencill of Trenton; a brother, Louis Bankson and his wife, Emma of Trenton; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Marion Bankson.
The family suggests memorials to the Baptistery Fund at the Riverside Church of Christ.
