A Trenton resident performed in the musical “The Tortoise Versus the Hare” presented by the Missoula Children’s Theater at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center in Chillicothe.

Emma Gilham, daughter of Tim and Davina Gilham, portrayed Maraca Rattlesnake in the production, which featured more than 60 students from 14 area communities. The week-long drama rehearsals and two stage performances were produced by the children’s theater as part of the Chillicothe Area Arts Council’s 2011-2012 arts season. It was funded by the Roger A. Browning Foundation and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
