The Grundy County United Way will kick off its 2011 campaign with a pancake feed on Saturday at the Hy-Vee Food Store.

Serving will be from 7 to 10 a.m. and will be an eat-what-you-want, pay-what-you-want event. A fundraising goal of $24,000 has been set. Organizations that benefit from the United Way include the Community food Pantry, the Grundy County 4-H, the Grundy County Juvenile Office, the Grundy County RSVP, the Grundy County Learning Center, the Green Hills Women’s Shelter, the North Central Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center, Trenton KIDS Wrestling, Trenton Little League Football, Wright Memorial Home Health, the North 65 Center, the juvenile court diversion program, the Falls Risk Coalition and Parents as Teachers.
