Two Arrested For Failing To Appear In Court

Two persons were arrested by the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department on unrelated charges over the weekend.

According to the sheriff’s office, Jamie Russom, 26, Chillicothe, was arrested in Livingston County on three Grundy County warrants. She is accused of failing to appear in court on charges of driving while intoxicated (persistent offender), operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility, and exceeding the posted speed limit by 16 to 19 mph. Bond was set at $650 cash only on the DWI charge; $100 cash only on the operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility charge; and $150 cash only on the speeding charge. She was in custody at the Grundy County Law Enforcement Center and scheduled to appear in court today.
Also arrested was George Rainey, 29, Newtown. He was arrested for failing to appear in court on a charge of operating a vehicle on the highway without a valid license, third offense. His bond was set at $5,000 cash or corporate surety. He was also arrested for failure to maintain financial responsibility for a motor vehicle and had bond on that charge set at $150, cash only. He was also scheduled to appear in court today.
