Plans for the 2010 Trenton High School Homecoming have been announced by the school.

Homecoming Week will be Sept. 20-Sept. 24. School spirit days will include Monday, Sept. 20, Nerd Day; Tuesday, Sept. 21, Broken Limb Day; Wednesday, Sept. 22, Cowboy Boot Scootin’ Day; Thursday, Sept. 23, Pajama Day; and Friday, Sept. 24, Elvis Presley Day.
The annual pep rally and bonfire will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday Sept. 22 at C.F. Russell Stadium. The homecoming queen and king will be announced at that time. Candidates and attendants have not yet been announced. Crownbearers include Zane Michael, son of Shane and Abbye Michael, and Jozie Rorebeck, daughter of Nathan and Heather Rorebeck.
The grand marshal of this year’s parade will be Ann Brinser, former Trenton R-9 vocal music instructor. Mrs. Brinser will be the school’s 66th homecoming parade marshal.
School will be dismissed at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24, with the homecoming parade scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. The parade will follow a route from Normal Street, left on 17th Street, left to Harris Avenue, left again onto Ninth Street and ending at Eastside Park. The parade is lining up on Normal Street due to the high school construction.
The homecoming dance will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25 in the high school gym. The cost of the dance will be $3 for singles and $5 for couples. All students in grades nine through 12 are allowed to attend.
