NCMC is beginning construction of a new 32,000-square foot allied health instructional building on campus and the governor will deliver remarks and assist with a ceremonial groundbreaking. Gov. Blunt was instrumental in the awarding of $2 million for NCMC to be used towards the project through his Lewis and Clark Initiative (MOHELA). The total building construction cost is estimated at $5.5 million.
The ceremonies will take place at 10 a.m. near the site of the new building at the intersection of Crowder Road and Chestnut Street on the college campus. The public is invited to attend and is advised to use parking lots near Barnes Hall (Crowder and Main), the Ketcham Community Center (Mabel Street) or the city lot (also on Mabel Street). A reception will follow.
